BENEDICTINE-MONASTERY IN ADMONT

The monastery was founded in 1074 and is one of the oldest, still existing monasteries in Styria. It's a clerical and cultural center with national signification. The monastery-library is the biggest library housed in an abbey all over the world. The monastery is one of the most famous constructions of the European late-baroque. Come and visite nearly 1000 years of history.

MARIAZELL REGION

The Mariazell region is known as a place of spirituality and for its attractive, varied landscape. Mariazell is known for its famous Basilica which has attracted visitors from near and far for 850 years.
As well as the Basilica with its miraculous statue of Mary and two treasure chests containing a large number of votive offerings, the Heimathaus and mechanical manger also lay testament to the town’s 850-year history. Culinary delights are on offer at the Lebzelterei gingerbread bakery where you can buy traditional Lebkuchen and Mead. You can also make your own bees-wax candles.

RUSTIC RIVER JOURNEY ALONG THE EDGE OF THE KALKALPEN NATURE PARK

Get close to Mother Nature in a unique setting. The wooden float which also has a roof and has room for 20 - 150 people. During this journey of around 2 hours you will have the chance to refuel with cider and nibbles. A musician will also be on board for your listening pleasure.

STÜBING OPEN-AIR MUSEUM

100 original, historic, rustic buildings from all over Austria are safely tucked away at the heart of this magical natural landscape. Walk through the history of Austrian architecture at your leisure. The buildings have gardens awash with colour; goats and sheep graze in the meadows. Crops are cultivated in the fields and harvested with scythes and sickles in the traditional way.

LURGROTTE CAVE AT PEGGAU

Austria’s largest stalactite cave with an active river. An excursion for all weathers and quite rightly considered one of the wonders of nature.
