Coach- and group- trips to the Wildlife Park Mautern
The Wildlife Park mountain is located above the Palten-and-Liesing-valley and underneath the “Mittelkogel”. This park accommodates more than 300 animals and offers numerous attractions for children and adults. Thus, it is especially worth a trip for families and mixed-age groups.
To reach the park, which is 1100m above sea level, you can use the provided chairlift, which is right next to the parking area. Enjoy the ride and take in the beautiful panorama!
After your visit you can return to the valley by foot or by using the bobsleigh track “Wiesengleiter”. Or go faster by riding down the forest road with one of the mountain karts from the mid-station.
Food and drinks at Wildlife park Mautern
Mountain air makes you hungry and thirsty. The “Steinbockalm” and the “Murmelhütte” offer food and drinks for visitors. Additionally, you can find sweet treats at the “Bärenstube” next to the valley station.
Hotel Kongress tip: Traveling by coach and combination offers
You can reach Mautern via S6 and A9. After a 30min drive you will reach the parking area next to the valley station of the chairlift. There is plenty of space for buses.
You could also combine your trip with a visit of the Benedictine abbey Admont or a trip to the national park “Gesäuse”. Also a combination with the “Red Bull ring” would be possible.
