“Arkadenhof Schwarzer Adler”

The Arkadenhof is the oldest brewery restaurant in Leoben. The traditional restaurant is located directly on the main square and thus only a few steps away from Hotel Kongress. Guided beer tastings, Gösser beer soup or beer roast beef - the beer tradition is cultivated and lived in the Arkadenhof. Particularly popular is the "beer menu", consisting of a correctly tapped Gösser Gold and a slow-tapped Gösser Special with a four- to five-centimeter-high head of foam. This is beer enjoyment in its purest form! The kitchen will spoil your group with traditional Styrian dishes and sweet treats.

Weinlaube “Schwarzer Hund”

Right next to the “Arkadenhof Schwarzer Adler”, the emblem with the black dog has adorned the front of house number 10 since 1895. For years, it watched over the secluded courtyard behind it, which seemed to have sunk into a deep slumber. Today, it is worth taking a look behind the façade of the historic building, because the historic vaults have been generously renovated and have been home to the “Weinlaube”, which has aptly been named "Schwarzer Hund (Black Dog)" since 2004.

In the romantic courtyard, perhaps the oldest vine in Austria provides shade for guests and creates an intimate atmosphere in the center of the city. In winter and in bad weather, guests get cozy inside the restaurant.

In the former stables of the house, the team serves seasonal, Styrian specialties from their kitchen, always the right wine and, and of course, the Austrian humor to go with it.

Take a break with your group for a glass of wine. It pays off, because rumor has it that one of the largest wine ranges in Upper Styria is stored in the “Black Dog”.
