Check into our Design Suite Industrie Romantik, unique in Austria and a tribute to the region's heavy industry. Get a first overview of the mining history of the region in the cultural quarter of the city of Leoben.

From 2 p.m., visit voestalpine at the Leoben/Donawitz site and experience today's world of steel production and processing of a globally active technology group with expert guides.

Follow the path of the pig iron on safe visitor routes: from the breathtaking moment when the blast furnace is drilled open, to the fascinating casting of the steel into ingots, to the gigantic rolling of the 120 meter long rails for use around the globe.

The guided tours, lasting between one and a half and three hours, through the plant site, are suitable for people aged 14 and over. Sturdy shoes are recommended, as there are numerous views from above.

To round off the day in comfort, we have reserved a table for you in the Arkadenhof restaurant or in the Schwarzer Hund wine arbor, where a 3-course menu of your choice awaits you.
